Oral allergy: This needs to be evaluated by an allergist, you may be truly allergic and can develop an anaphylactic reaction from it or if you suffer from severe spring season nasal allergies, you may have an oral allergy to almond and some fresh fruits that are limited to the mouth and are not life threatening. At any rate, i agree with dr fowler, don't it until checked. See an allergist to be tested.

However, if you have suffered these reactions for years and they have not worsened, you probably have oral allergy syndrome, a reaction that usually does not get worse over the years. Most people with oral allergy tolerate cooked, but not raw food. To be sure, see a board-certified allergist immunologist.
