A member asked:

I really need some answers! why are the gaps between my teeth rough?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Calculus: That's what dentists call tarter. It's calcium filled dead bacteria adhering to your teeth. It causes gum ; bone recession, and acts as a trap on which more bacteria can adhere, further damaging gums. You can't remove calculus. Dentist or hygienist has to do it for you, then show you how to keep it from coming back.
