Don't know of any: Safe ; effective ways to whiten your teeth using home remedies.

Bleaching teeth: Avoiding coffee, tea, cherries, blueberries, smoking and other similar foods that cause superficial stains. Using crest white strips can be effective. Whitening toothpastes are just more abrasive and don't really whiten teeth- they just help to scrub off the superficial stain.

None: There are no home remedies to whiten teeth other that keeping them clean on a daily basis with proper brushing and flossing after meals. If you really want whiter teeth see your dentist for a professional cleaning and a discussion of available safe and effective methods. Crest whitestrips are effective for some but have definite limitations and even this should be discussed with your dentist first.

See your dentist: You can use a number home remedies without damaging. However, they are not so effective and/or stable. OTC bleach and whitening tooth paste could be used as a supplement only. A professional teeth whitening without laser, followed by home whitening system with custom trays for the long term effect. You will be very happy with the results.

OTC Products: Follow instructions as directed and you should not damage your teeth. Don't expect the results to be as good as professionally dispensed and applied gels. All the best...

Wrong Sequense: Any whitening system that you can commercially purchase should only be used after the dentist has gotten the stains out of the enamel structure of the tooth, and taken care of any cavities that exist. Otherwise you will be trying to whiten over a deep stain = failure or you will be trying to whiten a cavity = can potentially kill the nerve of the tooth.

Does anybody know a home remedy to whiten teeth?

Yes and no!: There are many ways to whiten your teeth. Just look on the internet. Whitening is actually cleaning the enamel or outside layer of your teeth. But be careful! the layer underneath is dentin and that can be very sensitive. Too much whitening can damage this layer, cause extreme discomfort and and actually damage the nerve inside your teeth.
