Brush hard.: Brush hard but with soft bristle brush. The bleeding will stop as the area is debride and draining. Color should also improve. Texture will be come flat rather than glossy. And finally, mobility if any, should diminish greatly.

Hard or easy: Is not the question. The question is whether you get all the plaque off. Thorough is the answer, no matter if hard or easy brushing is done. Do you know how to determine if the plaque is gone? Use disclosing tablets that turn the plaque red so you can see it. And don't forget you need to floss, use the electric tooth brush, the hydrofloss also for better results.

It's not the issue: Brushing hard or easy is not the issue, but how clean it gets is.. You need to floss thoroughly , then brush all surfaces of teeth inside out, removal of all the plaque the accumulate on teeth surfaces and gum sulcus is the your objective. For added measures you can get a water pick and/or electric toothbrush.. Good luck;).

Brush and Floss: Gingivitis is a reversible condition that after a professional cleaning, regular brushing and flossing is essential to keep your gums healthy! Use a soft bristle ADA approved toothbrush with an approved ADA toothpaste - at least 2X daily for 2 minutes, floss once daily and use an antiseptic mouthwash 2X daily. Ask your dentist or dental hygienist for proper brushing technique.
