Soon afer meals: Chewing sugarless - xylitol - gums would not only freshen your breath but also help reduce decay problems. But don't over do it and over work the tm joints and jaw muscles by constant gum chewing. If you already have jaw joint clicks or catching, you need to be even more careful with gum chewing.

Post meals: After meals to help clean teeth. Sugar free of course. No excessive gum chewing can negatively affect jaw joint.
