Probably normal: Normal to have pain after wisdom tooth extraction. Follow post op instructions, take pain meds. If pain persists or gets worse beyond 3-5 days, you may have a dry socket. See the surgeon who can diagnose and treat.

Go back to dentist: Sometimes wisdom teeth are valuable asset when healthy and properly aligned, but more often, they are misaligned and require removal. The removal of wisdom teeth is one of the most common procedures at ages 15-24. See your dentist for evaluation and x-rays.
