Malocclusion: Your retainer may interfere with your bite that cause interference and ultimately malocclusion to the opposing teeth. Have your dentist/orthodontist check and adjust the retainer.

No: A proper fitting retainer should not cause your gums to bleed. You may have some soreness of the teeth when you start wearing your retainer initially, or if you haven't worn it for a while and start wearing it again...but bleeding is NOT expected. I recommend you have your dentist take a look at your retainer.
