See dentist: You need to see a dentist to have this evaluated and then proper treatment can be performed to reduce pain. You might need some physical therapy as well as some sort of tooth guard, but the diagnosis needs to be established before treatment can begin.

See a dentist: See a dentist who has extensive training and experience in treating patients with temporomandibular joint dysfunction, commonly referred to as tmj. Many dentists can treat the simpler cases. You might try nsaids (if you can take them), hot moist compresses to the outside of your tmjoints, soft diet and time. Always best to get it evaluated, even if the pain lessens.
