Oral Sore ?: If you know for sure that it's not herpes, then you probably should know what it is and how best to treat. Not being a dentist or a physician, i'm not sure how you know this for sure. I'm a dentist with years of experience and training and don't always know what oral lesions are just by looking. Cause determines treatment. Try salt water rinses, 3% hydrogen peroxide, orabase, etc. Good luck, doc.

Mouth sore: No clue without an examination. It could be an ulcer, a cold sore, an infection, or oral cancer. If it doesn't heal on it's own in 5-7 days, see your dentist. In the meantime, get some orabase ointment otc from the pharmacy to cover the sore when eating.
