I just got rid of a big cold sore on my bottom lip. now the area is still swollen but no sign of a cold sore for 7 days. any idea what it could be?

Big cold sore: Could also be an ulcer on the lower lip that is slow to heal. Use bacitracin over the counter on the area. If you keep it moisturized then it will heal. You can try ice on the area as well to settle down the inflammation. Sometimes it takes a while for all the inflammation from an infection to resolve. Good luck and feel better!
