A member asked:

Is using toothpaste and mouthwash, with fluoride in both, daily, really that bad for you?

Dr. Dinh Bui answered

NO: The amount of Fluoride in toothpaste and in mouthwash is very small and therefore it would not have any adverse effect with daily use. Fluoride works by adsorption, i.e. Remain on the tooth surface to exchange ions and does not absorb into the surface.

Fluoride : Fluoride has been shown to reduce tooth decay in children and adults. It works on the surface of the teeth by making the enamel stronger and more resistant to the acids that causes decay, and it will reduce the bacteria on your teeth. Keep on using fluoride.
