Not normal: Most likely you sleep with your mouth open. That means your lips pull back /up after you fall asleep. Most people start breathing from their mouth in this situation, rather than their nose, which causes the dryness of their tongue, gums and oral mucosa. See your dentist and preferrablty an orthodontist to get help with some appliance therapy. /good luck.
