Yes and no: A lot of sugar in gum will cause cavities. Gum with abrasives as whiteners will erode enamel the white of your teeth A lot of constant chewing may worsen or flare up TMJ Increased bloating if you swallow a lot of air. However there are no real dangerous health issues with gum chewing
