Yes, but: On your finger and you cannot transfer it to the socket. An original idea, though. If you have or suspect a dry socket, see a dentist. There is a simple fix by using dry socket paste on a cotton pellet. If stops the pain in minutes and induces bleeding and a new clot formation which will speed healing.

Not in the socket: On your finger, yes. Call your surgeon to treat the dry socket.
