A member asked:

To get prescribed again for birth control pills is there have to be a physical exam taken again?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It depends: For a woman to get a prescription for birth control pills she needs to come into a clinic, talk about her medical history, have a physical exam, often a pap smear or other testing is done. Typically then she can get a prescription for birth control pills for a year. If it has been less than a year since you got your prescription then likely you don't need an exam yet. Check with your clinic.
