A member asked:

Are dentists obliged to finish dental work started, & pd for what can i do if denied & leads to loss of tooth that could have been restored ?

Need more facts: There has to be a reason why the treatment was discontinued mid=stream. It might just be a series of miscommunications. Call the dentist and ask for time to meet to see if you can get this resolved. If unsuccessful, ask your local dental society if they can help resolve the issues involved. Hope everything works out ok.

Info missing: There is much to be discussed in this instance. Why was treatment halted? What communication have you had with the office? What is the condition of the tooth? Your local dental society should be able to mediate an equitable resolution after evaluating both sides of the equation. Hope this info helps.
