I previously dislocated my subtalar joint, can't weight bear much because of pain... is it safe to do strengthening exercises while still experiencing pain?

Yes: Not sure how long ago u dislocated your subtalar joint... But ankle strengthening exersises w/theraband(color-coded rubber band material)is ok to do because it doesnt load your joint.Balance exersises and toe raises etc would load your subtalar joint and i would check w/your treating ors first before starting them...Good luck!

See a podiatrist: You need someone like a podiatrist to evaluate the dislocation to make sure that the bone is in its correct position or to review the x-ray to see if the joint is damaged. The podiatrist cam explain proper exercises that are safe to do. Don't do anything on your own.
