Dislocated knee: It sounds like this may require surgery. Get a MRI test and discuss with an orthopedic surgeon.

Depends on joint: The important question is, what is it a knee dislocation or patella dislocation? You would definitely need to start with a new MRI to evaluate it further. Once that is done, then the best care and plan can be made for the knee.
