A member asked:

My right rib cage isn't even with the left and i've been having shortness of breath, as if my lungs don't have enough room to expand, what is goin on?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

SOB, asymetric chest: Either a collapsed lung( with unilateral atelectasis due to a central obstructing lesion) or a pneumothorax(possibly under "tension") or a unilateral pleural effusion or a diaphragmatic hernia (with viscera up in the chest).
