Just treat : There are many options for treatment and that is more important than answering the "why" question. At your age you should ask to be tested for von willebrands disease. Then consider a Mirena (levonorgestrel) iud, depoprovera or a nonhormonal medication called Lysteda to decrease your bleeding.
