On my left toe nail really hurts. it is really sore i had this on my right toe nail before but i ignored it and walked like i usually do. what is this?

May be injury: The most important information is whether the toenail has changed color as well. I would be concerned about an injury, but the fact that you have them both toenails would suggest it may have something to do with your gait. Are your shoes too tight? Are you wearing shoes that may have a different fit than your old shoes. You might see if this occurs with certain shoes but not others.

Sore nail: This can be caused by an ingrown nail , hallux extensus with the big toe hitting the underside of the shoe, a subungual exostosis , fracture, tight shoe gear , worn shoe gear, contracture deformity , juvenile HAV , thick fungal nail, and the list goes on. See your podiatrist for help . Good luck.
