Not sure how: You know that exactly, but assume you are coughing and/or wheezing. If you smoke...Stop, if you have a fever, significant cough or wheezing let your doctor take a look and listen. There are a number of medications that can be of great assistance.

Are you sure it's mu: Long time to have "mucus" stuck in your lungs without resolution. Are you sure it's just mucus? See your family doctor for exam and possible x-ray. Do you smoke? If so that may holding back improvement.
