Post covid. no more mucus coughing up from lungs, fever etc. now have a post nasal drip (no other symptoms). can't sleep due to the itch, constantly coughing. tried the usual remedies via google. what is the best way to temporarily stop the itch?

Make certain you are not taking ACE (Angiotensin Converting Enzyme) or ARB (Angiotensin Receptor Blocker) meds. If you are, you may have an ACEARB cough.

I assume the itch is in your throat or larynx. Drink plenty of water& suck on lozenges to keep throat moistened. If the cough is dry,nonproductive& not doing you any good, take a cough suppressive syrup like robitussinDM or get a stronger prescription strength syrup with codeine from your physician. Since you're not experiencing wheezing, I don't think you require corticosteroid use.
