About how big is the inscion above the ear when harvesting the graft for a 5yr old for a tympanoplsty through the ear canal? anything i should know

A doctor has provided 1 answer

1 to 2 inches ...: The scars almost disappear with age. Success rates are very high with a small perforation. The larger the hole the greater the risk for failure.Total perforations should really be done by an experienced surgeon because the failure rates are quite a bit higher. In general , children tend to do very well !
