A member asked:

Can you get the flu from earphones (through ear canals)?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: The ear canals are lined with skin that does not permit entry of the flu virus. These germs are selective in where they enter the body & enter through the upper respiratory tract (nose, mouth, windpipe). If you contaminate your fingers on any object that has come in recent contact with the virus, you might transfer the fresh germs to your mouth & get infected that way. Frequent hand washing stops it
