The problem with ..: With long-term use of afrin is the rebound effect in the nasal cavity and a potential for increasing blood pressure. Diluting it with saline is not a good long-term solution. There are some prescription nasal sprays that are safe to use for the long-term treatment of allergies and nonallergic nasal conditions. There is no association with the use of afrin and cancer.
