Why would a utrasound show a fatty liver but a week before i had a ct scan & it only showed a small cyst on the lower lobe of the liver .

Liver Disease: These are two separate things. Fatty liver is a diffuse swelling of the liver that is often without other anatomical abnormality. A cyst is a specific anatomical abnormality that can be benign or not. Both can exist in the same person.
