A member asked:

Had ess, septoplasty, and polyps removed 3 weeks ago. have constant congestion and mucus on right nostril. is this normal? used sterioids and rinse.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

What you're ...: Describing is not ideal but may not be abnormal. If you are able to completely clean residual mucus and blood from the nasal passages by irrigating, theoretically you should be able to breathe through both sides of you nose well. What is your surgeon telling you? Occasionally polyps will regrow after the surgery and have to be treated with oral steroids for an extended period.
