No: For reasons that are not clear to us, medications that work for one individual may or may not work for another. The decisions are not based on the type of add or adhd the person has, rather the decision is based on clinician preference, patient acceptance, patient compliance, side effects, and sometimes comorbid conditions. No it is not true: There is no specific Adhd meds for a specific type of adhd. However, some patients respond better to one Adhd medication than the other. Some patients may not tolerate stimulants also.
