Check BG.: Check blood glucose. Ketones are not generally a problem unless bg is very high ( say 400+ range ) or you become progressively dehydrated. One should always check their bg when they do not feel well.

NEEDS TO BE CHECKED: Only way you can tell at home is checking your blood sugar and urine drip stix your blood sugar will be high and there will be glucose and acetone positive in the urine if you can not test it at home and are feeling sick, go to the nearest er as keto acidosis is a serious medical emergency and needs to be treated asap.
