Yes and no: Well first find out if she is pregnant with a home test. Cramping and bleeding could be a 'bad period' or an early miscarriage. They can act similar. During the first 12 weeks, there often is not much to do to change the outcome. A pregancy test, and a doctor visit and exam should help give you the answers you need.
