Sonogram: Any bleeding in the first trimester warrants an exam, sonogram to evaluate the pregnancy. Bleeding can happen in a normal pregnancy, a miscarriage and a tubal pregnancy. If this a normal pregnancy of 6 weeks gestation, the fetal heart can be seen on sonogram- that could be very reassuring. Good luck.
