A member asked:

I tend to sleep w/ my mouth open and i always wake up with a mild sore throat and stuffy nose. is this normal? should i try and sleep w/ mouth closed?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: If your nose is stuffy that may be the reason that you are breathing through your mouth when you sleep. It is also unlikely that you can will yourself to breath through the mouth while sleeping. Find out why your are nasally congested and try and correct this.
