Very good med: Ramipril helps heal the kidneys and protect from cardiovascular events. However, often it takes more than one med to control ones blood pressure. It's analogous to flying a plane; one must follow the blood pressure closely to make sure one is not heading for trouble.

Good: Ramipril is an ace inhibitor and this class of medication if tolerated works well to control BP and keep heart protected.
