A member asked:

I continue to have skipped heart beats despite taking 20mg of propallonol . is this dangerous? it happens a few times a day:(

A doctor has provided 1 answer

NO: Propranolol is commonly prescribed for skipped beats and definitely helps but never eliminates the problem. Skipped beats are not dangerous. Virtually everyone has them sometimes. Fatigue, nicotine, caffeine and stress can make them worse. Since they're not dangerous, treatment is simply to minimize symptoms. Propranolol is the safest way to do that. More potent drugs carry more risk.
