Incomplete info: Why did you do the test? What is normal range for SGPT at the lab where the test was done? Are you on any medications? It appears that your SGPT is slightly elevated and a common cause is intake of alcohol. If you take alcohol, stop entirely, and re do the test in three months. It would be prudent to discuss the matter with your doctor who may have more information about your health.

Depends on cause!: Elevated Liver function tests may occur for a variety of issues from Fatty infiltration (hepatic steatosis), viral illnesses such as the hepatitis viruses, Alcoholism, increased use of medications that metabolize through the liver (such as Acetaminophen), cirrhosis, biliary disease, tumors, gallbladder disease, etc, etc. Get an evaluation for the most likely cause of your LFT elevations.
