Get checked: It's unusual for a young man to get a uti. Urethritis is far more common, but is usually caused by a sexually transmitted infection. You could still have urethritis without having had sex, and a UTI is certainly possible. You need to go back and get rechecked for both. If you still have a uti, you may need to be evaluated for kidney or bladder abnormalities.
