On top of that if you smoke suggest to quit as soon as possible. The bullae has the risk for rupture and cause air inside the lung which is called pneumothorax which is an extremely life-threatening condition you should call 911.

Go to MD: The presence of lung bullae are correlated with symptoms. They are graded and if severity is bad a lung reduction surgery or bullectomy is considered. The presence of one bulla is not an indication but care has to be taken due to possibility of pneumothorax. Go to a lung specialist and be examined and advised.
