Rest, Ice, Elevate: Treatment of minor skin hematomas includes rest, ice, compression, and elevation. Heat application can also be helpful. Over time hematoma will gradually be reabsorbed and resolve. Just give it time. If lesion grows or becomes more painful with time see doctor for further work up and evaluation. Caution if you have pre-existing bleeding disorder.
