See a dentist: There may be several reasons why you may not be able to open your mouth besides problematic wisdom teeth. You should see a dentist to determine if your wisdom tooth (teeth) is the cause, and if they are, your dentist can either provide treatment or refer you to an oral and maxillofacial surgeon for treatment.

Oral surgeon: It may be the wisdom teeth. Could be a TMj problem. Or other cause. See oral surgeon for diagnosis. If wisdom teeth, he/she can help. If TMJ, see a TMJ expert.Any dentist can be a TMJ expert with the proper training and experience. Most commonly, oral surgeons, prosthodontists, and orofacial pain specialists. Ask your MD, your dentist and your dental society for referrals.
