Depending on tooth: Position. If the tooth is in a good position, a laser can remove the excess tissue so it won't collect food and bacteria that can cause breath issues. If the tooth is partially impacted even it is in an upright acceptable position, you may need an oral surgeon to have it further evaluated.

Operculum: That depends upon size, opposing teeth, position of wisdom tooth, oral hygiene and your preference. Sometimes it improves with salt water rinses and good oral hygiene. Some patient live with small ones, knowing there is a risk of flare-up. Other choices are to have it surgically removed or have the (wisdom tooth?) removed. Your general dentist or oral surgeon should be able to give you guidance.
