Moderation, pacing: You are not going to lose weight by not eating much tomorrow- we gain or lose weight by our behavior over months and years. I advise you enjoy your holiday but the most fattening foods are sugars ; starches, so eat more turkey ; green beans ; yams less potatoes, stuffing ; pie. Drinking 2 cups of water 20 min. Before you eat will help. Fill a moderate-size plate and wait 1/2 hour before seconds.

Portion control: Well, it's obviously after Thanksgiving at this point, but generally speaking you can eat the foods you like as long as you're aware of controlling your portions. For example, just because you may love eating Thanksgiving turkey doesn't obligate you to eat half the bird, right? Eat a sensible amount and enjoy it. Same rule applies to every holiday, and really every meal honestly.
