Wanted to know if i can eat sugar free gumballs with braces?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not smart: Braces make it harder to remove the bacteria that convert sugars into acids which in turn cause tooth damage. Hard candy (with or without sugar) cause physical damage to the braces, causing them to dislodge from the teeth. This requires repair and extends your time in braces. Hard candy bends wires, causing teeth to move out of position, extending time in braces. Nothing hard/sticky/chewy.
