Would it be possible to wear high heels after an Achilles tendon rupture?

Not only possible,: But probably easier. The achilles tendon will often shorten with injury. This will make it easier to wear heels, but you should still really work on stretching it out to it's normal length.

Not fun: Achilles is a major tendon in the leg which plays important role in foot function. Ruptures are sometimes treated via cast immobilization and other times primary repair via surgery. Rehab can be couple of months.

How do I know if I have an Achilles tendon rupture?

A few things...: Most people with ruptures experience pain, swelling and inability to flex the ankle in the direction of the sole of their foot. Some will see what appears to be a bruise at the site of the rupture. If you think you ruptured your achilles tendon i recommend you see an orthopaedic foot and ankle surgeon.
