A member asked:

Does antipsychotic meds impair cognitive functions in the long term ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Should NOT: Brain medications are designed to improve cognitive functioning and life functioning, particularly in the longrun. Some people develop side effects though. If at any point in treatment you notice any cognitive clouding or memory difficulty talk with your doctor to assess dosing and medication itself.
