A member asked:

What does the antipsychotic drug ziprasidone stimulate?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Many: Ziprazodone is from the atypical new generation of antipsychotics, it blocks/antagonizes the Dopamine receptors as well as blocking some and stimulating some Serotonin receptors which may have a role in improving mood. it may also play a positive role ( through the effect on serotonin receptors) in improving cognitive functioning in patients with schizophrenia
