No: Trilptal (oxcarbazepine) is an anticonvulsant or anti seizure medication. It is occasionally used for mood stabilization in patients with bipolar disorder, but Depakote (valproic acid), Lamictal (lamotrigine), and lithium all have much more well established efficacy.
