A member asked:

Woke up w/ sore throat so i gargled with salt water. there's a little blood in the mucus from the back of my throat. is this normal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes.: I would say that in context that you don't have more symptoms that stated. The mucous dries up the very superficial (to the surface) blood vessels in the back of the nose and the throat that they pop and cause some blood that people can taste on waking up. Take care of the sore throat and enjoy your turkey.
