Call to get advice: If you have already made an appointment to see a specialist, you may be able to receive an advise that is more customized for your unique condition than to receive an answer online, which is more generic in nature. The way you responded to otc products might be helpful for your doctor to understand your particular problems. Call your doctor to let him/her know you'd like to try an otc product.

Be careful: An otc mouthpiece may make things worse. Call the office and ask again if maybe you can be placed on a cancellation list to get in earlier. Tell them your issues are getting worse.
