Follow advice: At age 22 i would follow your doctor 's advice and rest it for 2-3 wks.Could be many things but @ your age rest from the offending activity for a while is sound advice.Do more cardio workouts while your hand muscles recover from the overuse .If it becomes a persistent problem after a period of rest and a 'slow' return to wt.Lifting see pcp again.
